Fame at last?
So pleased this weekend to discover a blog post about the shop (and about Stopsley) in the delightfully named 'Yoga World & Pesto' which is sub-titled 'The Luton Aspirational Blog'. It describes Fair Deal World Shop as 'A Lutonian Gem'. Take a look here:
N.B. The blogger lives and studies in Luton and writes in a very interesting and challenging way about different areas of town.
Find it difficult to get to the shop?
Did you know that Fair Deal World Shop supplies goods to many fair traders (volunteer sellers of fair trade products) in Herts, Beds and sometimes even further afield?
Here are some upcoming sales by our Fair Traders. All welcome!
Saturday 8th June
In Welwyn Garden City at Ludwick Way Methodist Church, AL7 3PN Geoff and Lorna Marsh are holding their monthly fair trade coffee morning and stall. This is a monthly community event, passers-by welcome to pop in!
Coffee and homemade cake served 10am to 1pm. In addtion there is a light lunch option noon to 1pm with Lorna's home made soup and a roll. Enjoy some refreshments and browse a well-stocked stall of fairly traded products.
The photo shows Geoff and Lorna just checking they've got everything they need before leaving the shop.
Sunday 9th June
Fair Trader Linda Waller welcomes you to her stall in St Albans Cathedral 10.30-11.30am. Linda's stall offers a wide range of fairly traded foods and beverages, cards and a selection of craft items. It's a lovely building and an interesting stall so why not walk in and take a look? This stall runs on the second Sunday of each month except August.
Saturday 22nd June
Fair trade stall organised by Linda Waller running in St Albans Old Town Hall, St Peter's Street, during the day. Lots of choice so go in and take a look at what's on offer.
